Art explorations for young children in a museum can be the first step toward creating a lifelong art lover and supporter. Yet welcoming very young children into a museum can be daunting. Learn how to create and facilitate early childhood art explorations designed to be a first museum experience and increase literacy skills.

Accessibility
Built in 2003, the Ogden Museum's Steven Goldring Hall meets current ADA standards. Wheelchairs and stools are available for those with mobility impairments and services animals are allowed.

Learning Objectives:

• Develop a tour that uses books to introduce young children to a museum setting.
• Develop a tour that increases young students’ early literacy skills through art explorations.
• Develop a tour that increases oral language skills, which have strong ties to reading comprehension and writing.
