Education & Interpretation
In our ever-changing and divisive world, how can museums and zoos play a more vital role in helping people understand each other, our shared histories, and our environment? By using our diverse collections of historic artifacts, global artworks, and animal species from across the world, combined with inquiry-based engagement strategies, museums are developing practices that foster empathy. Learn from a history museum, a zoo, and an art museum that are intentionally developing approaches that create connections, encourage perspective-taking, offer new ways of thinking, and ultimately change behaviors. In this interactive session, panelists and audience members will discuss effective practices, challenges, and tools for measuring impact.
