Museum of Vojvodina
Tatjana Bugarski, PhD is senior curator at the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, Serbia, a complex regional museum with rich collections and experts from various fields (ethnology, archaeology, history, art history, conservation, pedagogy). This gave her the opportunity to participate in numerous interdisciplinary projects. As a member of Ethnological Department, she oversees ethnological collections of objects related to folk customs, social life and folk art. She organized and co-authored several museum exhibitions and participated in various public-oriented museum programs. She has published several exhibition and collection catalogues as well as papers on traditional culture and social life of minorities, intangible heritage and museology.
Tatjana has a doctorate in ethnology and anthropology from Belgrade University with a focus on rituals, heritage, identity and memory. She has been conducting ethnographic field research projects in different ethnic groups and communities in Vojvodina. Her fieldwork is usually based on qualitative methodology, comprising primarily interviews and analysis of material culture. Her research interests include ethnological and anthropological museology, identity, ethnicity, religion, childhood, everyday life and rituals.
