Carrie Villar is currently the John and Neville Bryan Associate Director of Museum Collections at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She oversees the National Trust’s museum collectio of 60,000 objects located at 21 historic sites across the country. Prior to that, Carrie served as Senior Curator at The History Factory in Washington, DC, where she served as the creative lead on teams that worked with a diverse range of corporate and nonprofit clients. Deliverables for these clients ranged from oral history programs to corporate museums and exhibits to history-based social media platforms.
Previously, Carrie served as the Collections and Research Director at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Carrie has also worked at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, and the Historical Society of Delaware.
Carrie holds her M.A. in History with a Museum Studies Certificate from the University of Delaware, where she received a Hagley Fellowship in the History of Technology and Industrialization.
