Joanna Groarke is Director of Public Engagement and Library Exhibitions Curator at The New York Botanical Garden, where she develops exhibitions and interpretation including mobile experiences, signage and display text, audio tours, and publications. Joanna studied art history at New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts and holds a M.A. in art history and museum education from Tufts University and a B.A. from The College of William and Mary. She is a past contributor to Exhibition, has served as a panelist at national and regional professional conferences and events, and is the recipient of multiple MUSE awards for mobile experiences from the American Alliance of Museums (AAM). She currently serves as Program Co-Chair for the National Association for Museum Exhibition (NAME) and is a member of AAM’s National Program Committee.
