New Trends, Techniques, and Technology Sessions
Recent advances such as 3D dental radiography with cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), precision dental implant planning software, and clinical execution with guided surgery all play a role in the success of implant dentistry. And also placement of implants with a minimally invasive flapless approach has the potential to minimize crestal bone loss, soft tissue inflammation, and probing depth adjacent to implants and to minimize surgical time, and gives comfort to the patient. The speaker will show the technique of comprehensive implant dentistry planning with implant studio (3Shape) with only CBCT data, as well as clinical treatment with guided surgery, including the immediate loading (All-on-4 and 6 ) with patients' old dentures using TruAbutment AoT and Pylon guide system. The technique also includes digital workflows for full-arch reconstruction using a digital solution. The use of a digital system provided by the CBCT and 3Shape allows dentists to plan for ideal surgical placement and gives precise placement of the implant fixture.
