This course will be hosted by six very experienced, very knowledgeable friends who stay in constant contact sharing pearls that make the practice of implantology simpler, easier, and more enjoyable. A hypothetical patient emergency will provide the framework for sharing a number of techniques and products, including a set of hand instruments that can be used to place any root-form implant without the use of a motor. The emergency will be the patient who shows up with a front tooth in his or her hand. This patient will be a composite of a number of patients we have all seen and will include pictures and video of individual cases. The three broad topics will be designated as triage, temporary, and treatment. Within each of these categories is a tremendous amount of information. Presenters will speak on a topic about which they are passionate within these categories. While one is speaking, the others will be in the room, assisting with the hands-on portion. Pearls are best shared one-on-one. At the end of this workshop, participants will be ready to try one of the new techniques as soon as they return to work.
