This exciting and interactive discussion emphasizes an OMS and periodontal interdisciplinary team approach to better optimize patient care. A synergistic relationship is the key to developing effective strategies for building a foundation of success both in patient communication and optimal case outcome. Emphasis is placed on elevating the entire surgical and dental team as key partners in the assessment and treatment planning phases of care from "routine" site preparation to more comprehensive graft augmentations with tooth replacement. A highlight of this program is providing an understanding about the dynamic impact a symbiotic approach between oral surgery and periodontics has on creating a positive and lasting collaborative patient experience. Clinical and evidence-based reviews of the various modalities for hard and soft tissue regeneration will be reviewed as we highlight the use of tissue engineering and a "begin with the end in mind" fundamental approach.
