Group Flash Presentation Session
Every summer, the Guyanese devotees of Mother Kali dedicate a month to caring for her, a process that revives Mother’s energy in their temple in Brooklyn. However, this month-long devotion does more than care for Mother. This devotion renews relationships among devotees, cementing them into a family. Through photos of this month, my presentation will explore how such care may be seen from the mundane aspect of ritual preparation to the spectacle of possession.
