Chinese American Chefs Ming Tsai and Martin Yan and Chinese Restaurant Kids Labor Legacies
American Chinese Restaurants are globally one of the most popular ethnic food providers. These restaurants have made indelible impacts on many countries sense of identity, history, and interpersonal relationships. But one has never deeply looked at very famous Chinese American Chefs lives and belief systems. This presentation will be in three parts. The first part will go Culinary Ambassador Chef Martin Yan Life and his opinions on food “authenticity” and the future of Chinese Restaurants around the world. The second part will go over Chinese American Chef Ming Tsai life of East and West hybridity. The third part will go over Chinese kids who grew up in Chinese restaurants and their life long labor legacies.
