Using Janet Levy’s 2014 publication, “What I Believe: Doing Archaeology as a Feminist,” as a point of departure, I explore the recent 5 years of trends and practices in Southeastern archaeology. Beyond simply counting publications, I consider recent research vis-à-vis a feminist perspective as espoused by Levy, namely that feminist archaeology is a means of studying all aspects of the human experience. Two areas she highlights, work and reflexivity, are useful organizing themes to explore the very practice of Southeastern archaeology in a #MeToo era.
