Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder is a complex diagnosis with a large range of listening and spoken language outcomes. Currently the diagnosis criteria is well defined, however management approaches are vast and outcomes can be unpredictable. Determining the most appropriate audiological management strategy occurs on a case by case basis. New findings suggest that knowing the “site of lesion” can assist the audiologist and family in selecting the treatment course that will potentially lead to the best outcomes for each individual patient.
