Recurrent acute otitis media (AOM) in pediatric patients is a common infection that audiologists often see clinically. It is known to be among the leading causes of trips to the pediatrician and requires some method of medical treatment. Recent research proposes chiropractic manipulation as a possible treatment method. This poster will present the systematic review of the literature on chiropractic manipulations and tympanostomy tubes to assess the advantages and disadvantages of each method for pediatric patients with recurrent AOM.
