Literature states that 60-80% of patients with bothersome tinnitus have a comorbid mental health condition, such as anxiety or depression. Therefore, a multidisciplinary approach, specifically inclusion of a mental health professional, to a comprehensive tinnitus management program is considered imperative to inclusive patient healthcare and successful outcomes. The information presented outlines a protocol to identify and manage mental health concerns in this at risk population.
