Deterioration of high frequency (HF) hearing is often the earliest indication of hearing loss (HL). As HL progresses into the lower frequencies, it can negatively impact daily communication and lead to negative outcomes for the patient. Many health conditions and environmental risk factors have been linked to increased hearing loss. However, few studies have specifically evaluated HF hearing ability. This retrospective study will describe the relationship between HF hearing, health comorbidities, and hearing loss risk factors in an adult population.
