The use of Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Long Latency Auditory Evoked Potential (LLAEP) in demyelinating diseases makes it possible to identify lesions in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS can damage the Central Auditory Nervous System, reflecting the individual's auditory sensitivity; ABR and LLAEP have proved to be useful in diagnosis, as in the definition of the type of brain involvement that individuals with multiple sclerosis present.
