The cervical VEMP elicited via bone conduction (BC) offers several advantages over air conduction. However, there are stimulus limitations inherent in conventional clinical bone vibrators for producing low-frequency brief tone bursts. The purpose of this research is to compare cervical VEMPs across different transducers using multiple stimulus frequencies. Maximum output limitations for transient stimuli will also be discussed. Understanding the effectiveness of clinically available bone vibrators will add valuable information in identifying otolith dysfunction.
