Several studies have investigated the effect of tympanostomy tubes on otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) in the past; however, most have focused on transient evoked OAEs (TE-OAEs ). The aim of the current study is to explore factors that may affect presence or absence of frequency-specific distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DP-OAEs) following tympanostomy tube placement.
