The electrophysiological evaluation provides information about the central auditory nervous system, being a tool for cortical evaluation in children with reading and writing disorders. The objective was to analyze the cortical processing with tone burst and speech stimulus in children with reading and writing disorders. The present study obtained lower mean values of latency values and greater amplitude for the speech stimulus in children with reading and writing impairment.
