Current knowledge on the processing of F0 information in Mandarin-speaking children with cochlear implants (CIs) is still far from adequate. This paper will report findings on the importance of F0 contour to sentence recognition in kindergarten children with CIs in comparison to normal-hearing controls. Implications and future research prospects will also be described.
