Alyssa Needleman, Ph.D., is the Clinical Director and an Associate Professor in the Department of Audiology, College of Health Care Sciences at Nova Southeastern University. Her primary responsibilities are management of clinical operations within the Nova Southeastern University Audiology Clinic, as well as coordination of internship and externship experiences, both within the NSU Audiology Clinic and at external clinical training facilities. Dr. Needleman teaches doctoral courses, including Coding & Reimbursement, Ethics, Practice Management, Interprofessional Education, Research Methods, Acoustics, Psychoacoustics, and Implantable Hearing Technologies. Dr. Needleman currently serves as co-chair for the Coding and Reimbursement Committee for the American Academy of Audiology. Prior to joining Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Needleman served in a variety of roles in academia, hospital administration and industry, including extensive experience in medical device manufacturing, overseeing Product Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs as well as education and training with major hearing industry manufacturers.
