Chelsea Blankenship, AuD, is a Research Audiologist in the Communication Sciences Research Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati (UC) with a Doctorate in Audiology in 2012. Chelsea is currently pursuing her PhD at UC under the supervision of Dr. Fawen Zhang. Her research interests include using electrophysiological techniques to understand how the brain processes speech and other auditory stimuli in children and adults with normal hearing, cochlear implants, and other listening difficulties. In Dr. Hunter’s Children’s Auditory Research Lab, Chelsea is focused on the evaluation of new techniques to identify abnormal function in the peripheral auditory system. She has received several travel awards to present her research at national and international conferences.
