Lisa Lucks Mendel, Ph.D., CCC-A, holds a Bachelor of Science and Master's of Education in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of California Santa Barbara. She is currently a tenured Professor of Audiology at The University of Memphis in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders and she is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in the state of Tennessee. She is also serving as Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at The Univerity of Memphis. Dr. Lucks Mendel is an Asha Fellow and has published and presented several papers regarding speech perception assessment issues for individuals who have normal hearing and hearing impairments. Dr. Lucks Mendel currently serves as CAPCSD President and has been involved in AuD Education for many years.
