This study aims to develop and validate an Arabic speech test that assesses consonant perception in children (5 - 11 years). An Arabic version of the Chear Auditory Perception Test (CAPT) was developed then validated with normal hearing Arabic native children. Test-retest reliability was good and performance was improved with increasing age. Results showed that this test is appropriate for children as young as 5 years old. This test can assess speech perception ability and monitor performance post an intervention.
