In this session, you will hear from a panel of LGBTQ experts, both self-advocates and service providers from the disability community. Panelists will focus on the barriers to fulfilling expressions of queer sexualities and gender identities that people with disabilities are facing today. Through sharing stories from their own lives, they will guide us towards forging a future with an inclusive, nuanced understanding of how best to meet the needs of LGBTQ people with disabilities.
Presenters for this session include:
• Renee Fannin, a lesbian, wife, mother and Supported Living Services provider.
• Madison Needham, a feminist, autistic undergraduate student at UC Berkeley, studying and researching the asexualization of individuals with autism.
• Christian McMahon, a queer trans man, writer, and Communications Specialist at The Arc of California.
