Overcoming Diagnostic and Therapeutic Challenges in the Individualized Management of Binge Eating Disorder

Saturday, October 27
10:45 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Tangerine WF1

Binge eating disorder (BED) is the most common eating disorder in the United States and is associated with significant morbidity and quality of life burdens. However, BED continues to be underrecognized and misdiagnosed in clinical practice, limiting the implementation of effective psychosocial and pharmacologic therapies that have emerged for the treatment of this disorder. These challenges in BED management are compounded by its frequent comorbidity with other psychiatric and physical disorders and persistent patient misperceptions that may limit adherence and engagement. Expert faculty will lead this session to explain how to integrate the latest clinical data and patient-specific considerations into individualized BED management strategies.
