Scott Hensley is the Linkage to Care Coordinator at Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. located in Frederiksted, St. Croix USVI. He currently works in three programs at a Federally Qualified Health Center that include: Syringe Exchange, Homeless Health Outreach, and the CDC’s high-impact prevention program.
Scott has over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions. Areas of expertise include:
School and community based Domestic Violence education; Application of Structural and Evidence-Based Interventions in the areas of HIV and homeless outreach services; Oversight of St. Croix’s Syringe Exchange Program; Teen and adult emergency shelter management; Mental Health community-based trainer.
In addition, Scott is the Vice Chair of the USVI’s Continuum of Care Board of Directors. He is currently engaged in establishing a permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, and emergency overnight shelter program on St. Croix. This Community First! Model will also include educational day programming as well as clinical and behavioral health services. Originally from Maine, Scott has been active in the St. Croix community for 11 years and is dedicated to ending homelessness in the Virgin Islands.
