Case Study Information:
Face recognition for attendee check-in and automated badge printing is new to events but is quickly becoming the hottest trend. In this session you will discover how face recognition can streamline the check-in process and provide an exciting, personal experience for each attendee.
Spring Masterminds, an event hosted by Keller Williams in Washington, D.C. in April of this year used face recognition to check-in attendees and print their badges. The response was very positive from both attendees and staff. Benefits included: reduced wait times to check-in, less staff burden due to self-check-in capabilities and attendee delight at the ease of check-in. The event drew 1,360 registrants and 48% of attendees opted to use face recognition for check-in.
How it works: Attendees can opt to upload a picture during the online registration process in order to experience face recognition check-in. At the event, registration kiosks with cameras are available for attendees to check themselves in. When an attendee approaches a kiosk, the camera scans their face and automatically prints their badge.
