Goal:
To be inspired by stories from three female entrepreneurs
One launched her own tradeshow.
One started her own company.
One launches new shows continually for a large company.
(Kellie Shevlin launched Craft Beverage Expo, Carrie Ferenac co-founded CNTV and Jenn Heinold launches new shows continually for Access Intelligence.)
With varying backgrounds and experiences, these three women all have one thing in common: They are entrepreneurs.
During this panel session, attendees will learn how to think like an entrepreneur by finding gaps in the marketplace.
We contend everyone should think like an entrepreneur to improve their businesses. During this engaging and interactive session, we will address the following topics:
-- Gain advice on the business side of finding gaps in the marketplace
-- Learn how to vet ideas and identify which ones are viable
-- Find out when you can expect to be profitable with a new show or new company
-- Learn how to evaluate your risk tolerance, and apply it to new ideas
-- Find out what questions to ask before launching a new idea or new show
We will talk about things we wish we had known when we first started, and how folks can learn from our mistakes, as well as from our successes. We will break-down the formula needed to see an idea from inception to fruition and show the audience that starting a new enterprise is not magic and can be an option for many who have good ideas and are passionate about the events industry.
