I am a urologic oncologist with clinical and laboratory interest in prostate cancer. After completing graduate and medical education at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL in 1997, I started the urology residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. Then in 2000-2001, I went to the Laboratory of Cell Regulation and Carcinogenesis at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and completed a one-year urologic oncology research fellowship. Following the urology residency training in 2003, I moved on to complete a fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotics with Dr. Ralph V. Clayman at the University of California, Irvine. After the completion of the clinical fellowship, I started as an assistant professor at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ on Aug 2005. Since moving to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, I have established a productive laboratory focused on the mechanism of treatment resistance in prostate cancer while simultaneously performing over 1700 robotic prostatectomies.
