Department of Urology, University of Rennes, France
I am a urologist with an expertise in the treatment of upper urinary tract diseases. I made my residency and fellowship at the University of Rennes in France. I made an additional research fellowship in mini-invasive surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. I am a professor at the University of Rennes where I have been appointed chairman of the department of urology in 2011. Most of my clinical practice is dedicated to the treatment of urogenital tumours using laparoscopy and robotic assistance. I am the director of the robotic program at my institution. I also have a clinical interest in endourology. My research is devoted to improve peri-operative outcomes after renal surgery particularly after partial nephrectomy. I also study prognostic biomarkers in kidney cancer. I am the chairman of the renal cancer committee of the French association of urology and a member of the panel of the European Guideline Committee on kidney cancer. I am a member of the editorial board of European urology and I have published 300 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
