Dr Evangelos Liatsikos is the Chairman of the European Association of Urology Section of Uro- Technology (ESUT). He is a Professor of Urology at the University of Patras in Greece. He is a Guest Professor at the University of Leipzig in Germany and Adjunct Professor at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. He is distinguished in literature for his research in Laparoscopy and Endourology, with his work accounting for more than 260 international publications. Dr. Liatsikos has also been invited as a speaker and live surgeon in a series of the most prestigious urological congresses worldwide. For his scientific contribution, Professor Liatsikos was nominated for the “Arthur Smith Endourology Lectureship” award in 2009 by the World Association of Endourology. He received the award of “Academic Endourology Fellowship Program Director” on November 2016 during the World Congress of Urology.

Khurshid R. Ghani

Associate Professor of Urology

Khurshid Ghani is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan. His research interests include novel techniques of endoscopic and robotic surgery for renal stone disease, health services research and surgical quality improvement. In particular Dr Ghani has been focused on advancing a Dusting technique for endoscopic stone surgery and has extramural funding to study optimal laser settings for holmium laser lithotripsy. He is the Course Director of the Developments in Ureteroscopic Stone Treatment (D.U.S.T.) symposium. In addition, Dr Ghani serves as Co-Director of the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative, which is a consortium of 44 urology practices aiming to improve the quality of urological care in the state of Michigan.

Cesare M. Scoffone

Dr. Cesare Marco Scoffone has been working for two decades in the University Department of Urology of Orbassano (Torino, Italy), developing a wide experience in uro-oncologic and reconstructive surgery, retrograde ureteroscopic and percutaneous treatment of urolithiasis, miniinvasive approaches to BPO, holmium laser treatment of various pathologies. Since 2010 he is Chief of the Department of Urology of the Cottolengo Hospital of Torino (Italy). His personal case series include thousands of open, laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures (>750 ECIRS, >500 low-power (totally) en-bloc no-touch HoLEPs, thousands of RIRS) performed as first surgeon in all urologic fields, and during the last fifteen years he has been often invited for Live Surgeries (mainly RIRS, ECIRS, bipolar TURP, HoLEP) all over the world. He is author of many peer-reviewed publications, guidelines, book chapters (including one in the 4th edition of the Smith’s Texbook of Endourology on ECIRS), didactic videos, editor of a Springer book on ECIRS in 2014, reviewer for many international journals, editor for WJUrol, member of national and international urological societies, consultant and tutor for various companies, part of the EAU, CIE, WCE and SIU Faculties, director of Advanced Endourology Courses in his hospital (about 35/year, lessons in the afternoon, surgeries in the morning afterwards), chairman of the Technology and Training in Endourology congress in Torino (8th edition in 2018).
