Michael Grasso III, received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine, and completed his Urology residency training at Jefferson as well. While there he worked closely with Dr. Demetrius Bagley, developing broad academic interests in minimally invasive surgery and Uro-oncology, advancing the field of endourology by developing minimally invasive therapies and instrumentation, with significant contributions to the literature.
He served as Assistant and Associate Professor of Urology at Loma Linda University, Professor of Urology at New York University, and since 2001 he has been Professor and Vice Chairman of Urology at the New York Medical College. He is currently a Regional Director of Urology for Northwell Health, Director of an Endourology fellowship-training program since 1999, Director of living related renal transplantation at Westchester Medical Center, while also stewarding a basic science research program in renal physiology with Thambi Dorai Ph.D at New York Medical College.
