Introduction & Objective : Partial nephrectomy is the gold standard in the management of T1 Renal tumor. However in the case of multiple renal tumors the decision to do multiple partial nephrectomies depends on the eGFR a
Methods : A 60 year old gentleman was incidentally detected to have multiple renal masses in the right kidney in a routine health checkup. CECT showed multiple renal masses –
Results : Partial nephrectomies were succesfully completed with a warm ischemia time of 27 minutes. Postoperative period was uneventful. He was discharged with a creatinine value of 1.1.
The video depicts the technique of the same.
Conclusions : Robotic partial nephrectomy for 3 or more tumors in a single kidney is safe and feasible in selected patients.
More importantly, these data demonstrate exceptional renal function preservation despite the highly challenging nature of this type of surgery.
