MP17-4 - Laparoscopic retroperitoneal tumor resection for complex retroperitoneal tumors

Introduction & Objective :

To study the safety and effectiveness of retroperitoneal laparoscopic retroperitoneal tumor resection for complex retroperitoneal tumors.

Methods :

Retrospective analysis of the treatment experience of 11 complex retroperitoneal tumors from 2015 to 2016. All the operations were performed through the abdominal route to study thesafety and effectiveness of the operation, and to analyze the operation time, the amount of bleeding, the damage of the surrounding tissue and the recovery of the postoperative intestinal function.

Results :

The patients were 22-71 years old, 7 males and 4 females. The BMI was 25.1-3.2.6. The tumors were located in the retroperitoneum. They were all located from the level of the lower extremity of the kidney to the level of the hepatic vein. Among them, the aorta and vena cava were used to treat tumors. Cases, hepatic vein rear tumor in 2 cases, volume 5.6-15cm. The operation time was 35-175min, intraoperative blood loss was 50-500ml, there was no damage to the surrounding organs such as vena cava, aorta, renal hepatic vessels and routine, no peripheral organs were removed at the same time, postoperative 2.4 days bowel function recovery, postoperative pathology It was suggested that there were 5 cases of adrenal tumor, 2 cases of ectopic pheochromocytoma, 2 cases of schwannomas, and 2 cases of other tumors.

Conclusions :

Laparoscopic retroperitoneal resection of retroperitoneal tumors is safe and effective in the surgical treatment of complex retroperitoneal tumors. It is used for large resection volume and complicated anatomic location in retroperitoneal tumors with less bleeding and can effectively avoid peripheral blood vessels and tissues. Organ damage and rapid postoperative recovery can replace traditional open surgery.
