Gregory (“Greg”) Cohen is a 22-year veteran of the payments industry and is the immediate past president of the Electronic Transactions Association. Mr. Cohen has spent the majority of his career in leadership roles at top acquirers, processors and technology organizations. He is a recognized industry leader having built national and global payments technology and commerce organizations. In addition to his corporate roles, Mr. Cohen is an active member of the Discover Acquirer’s Council and former member of MasterCard’s Acquirer Forum and NACHA’s Electronic Check Council.

Mr. Cohen has a deep understanding of the commerce ecosystem as well as a unique ability to scale businesses and solutions both directly and indirectly in a complex environment. Most recently, Mr. Cohen was the President and then Chief Operating Officer of iPayment with responsibility for all sale & marketing, operations & risk, product & technology and pricing functions for the top 20 acquirer. Previously, he has helped lead numerous successful payments and technology organizations having served as Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer for Cayan; General Manager, Senior Vice President for VeriFone’s Commerce Solutions group; President for the U.S. Group and Emerging Payments for Moneris Solutions and Senior Vice President for Global Payments. He has also held senior positions with TSYS and BankServ Check Services. Early in his career, Mr. Cohen founded and developed techTouch Cash, a national independent sales organization.

Mr. Cohen is a frequent writer and lecturer on payments trends and is an active investor and advisor for many of the payment industry’s fastest growing start-ups. He earned a MBA in Strategic Marketing from The George Washington University and a BA in Math and Economics from Emory University.
