Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor

Dr. Cynthia Ward received her VMD and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed residency training at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania in small animal internal medicine and a reproductive endocrinology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She was on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania until 2005 when she moved to the University of Georgia where she is currently Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine and Chief Medical Officer of the Small Animal Hospital. Dr. Ward has been honored by numerous teaching awards and has been named to the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorship. She has an active research program in clinical and basic endocrinology. She has authored numerous book chapters, research abstracts, and journal articles. Dr. Ward is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (small animal internal medicine).
