The annual review is so last year. More companies are moving to create a year-long feedback and engagement process with team members to improve performance and course correct as needed, when needed. With a focus on monthly touchpoints instead of an annual review tied to an expectation of raises and pay rates, the review retains its emphasis on improved performance and leaves the compensation conversation for another time.

Shawn Reynolds is the Director of Training for Morgan Communities. She is passionate about helping employees exceed expectations and achieve their greatest potential. Shawn began her career as a Leasing Consultant during college at Michigan State. Her career includes positions in marketing, operations, and training for small regional companies, national developers, and REITS. Through Morgan University, she oversees training and development for 1200 employees at 160+ properties in 13 states.
