IP Theft: Protection, Detection, and Response

Monday, May 7
3:20 PM - 4:05 PM
Location: Theater

Whether it’s a secret formula or a client list, every organization has its critical Intellectual Property (IP). When a key employee leaves, sometimes that critical data finds its way outside of the organization with the departing employee. This triggers a a cycle of events, including initial review, investigation, possible legal action and some kind of resolution. Understanding the way these events typically unfold can help companies be prepared to take action and make decisions in an informed and effective manner.

This presentation will discuss the ways in which IP theft events can be prevented, detected and responded to. Key timelines and decision points, along with important internal policies and stakeholders, will be identified.
