Technical Keynote: Evolution of Cyber Security: Are We Making Progress or Going Backwards?

Monday, May 7
12:10 PM - 1:00 PM
Location: Theater

The one constant, the one guarantee, the one thing you can always count on is change. If you step away from cybersecurity for several months, there is a high probability that much of the knowledge is no longer valuable, because so many things have changed. In this talk we will dissect what changes, what doesn’t and, most importantly, what we can control to actually make a difference in cybersecurity. For example, cloud, mobility, applications and technologies are always changing. However, the fact that humans are still a primary cause of attack and the way to minimize the impact of an attack is to focus on the data. This talk will set the stage to be able to interpret and investigate the new capabilities you will learn about through the conference.
