Keynote: How to Win Friends and Influence People in Cybersecurity

Tuesday, May 8
8:15 AM - 8:45 AM
Location: Theater

Human bias influences a great deal of behavior when it comes to technology and cybersecurity. In this talk, Dr. Jessica Barker draws on sociology, psychology and behavioral economics to explore the human nature of cybersecurity. Covering fear, social engineering, language and more, this is a call to arms for the industry to consider more carefully how people hear what we have to say. Unpicking cognitive biases, the presenter will address what we can do to shape experiences, awareness-raising and communications to be more influential in positively changing human behavior and culture.
