Sean White is an Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC/ISPQ) Certified PV Master Trainer and Accredited Training Provider. Sean is also a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installation Professional, a NABCEP PV Entry Level Program Provider, a California Licensed Electrician, a California Licensed Solar Contractor, a professor at Diablo Valley College, author and PV instructor who has taught thousands of students in the USA, Philippines, Canada, China, South Africa, Mongolia, South Africa and Qatar. Sean was on the NABCEP PV Installer Exam Committee and helped author the NABCEP PV Installer Task Analysis. Sean also is on the energy storage committee of the Solar ABCS PV Industry Stakeholder Group.

Sean teaches classes on a regular basis for various entities, such as Diablo Valley College in California, MERALCO (the main utility in the Philippines), Solar Universe in California, Kaplan across the USA and for many other organizations.

Sean excels at making difficult concepts easy to understand. He is a fun and entertaining speaker. Sean is always working on many projects. Whatever time it is, there is always a PV system that is producing power that Sean has worked on around the world.

Sean has presented 8-hour workshops at Solar Power International and ASES. Additionally Sean has presented at SNEC Shanghai, Africa PVSEC Durban, SEMI/CPTIC Shanghai, and Merisis Beijing and Shanghai.

Sean has a big commute and spends much of his time in California and the Philippines or often at a solar event somewhere in between. Sean is currently installing a 0.0001 MW (do the math) PV system on a wind-powered boat “Stella Blue” in the San Francisco Bay.

Kent Whitfield, MS, PE

Mr. Whitfield has been involved in a range of PV engineering activities from testing, analysis and certification through product manufacturing and system design and deployment for the past 27 years. His most previous role was as Sr. Director of Engineering for Beamreach Solar and prior to that held Director and Sr. Director roles in Reliability and Quality for SunEdison, Solaria and MiaSole. He has created two ISO/IEC accredited testing and certification laboratories and has brought two companies through quality certification to ISO/IEC17025, ISO9001:2008, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001. Mr. Whitfield also has experience working in UL's energy engineering team and managed the research team. He has an M.S. degree from Arizona State University, is a mechanical engineering P.E. and also represents the U.S.A. on the IEC TC82 WG2 standards writing body and on the PVQAT.

Trevor Curry has more than a decade of experience optimizing design and providing strategy using economics-based engineering approaches to over 5 GW of clean power plants. He previously served as Director, Engineering at Recurrent Energy and has also worked at Black & Veatch, Sargent & Lundy and American Electric Power. He holds an Executive MBA from Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and California.
