Finding Pennsylvania’s Solar Future

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) published a draft plan to expand in-state solar resources, with a goal of supplying 10% of the state's electric retail sales by 2030. This session will focus on recommended strategies necessary to meet the goal of 11 GW of solar energy capacity— a hefty rise from the state's 300 MW currently installed.

Allen Landis

Allen is currently a William Penn Fellow with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection working on renewable energy and energy efficiency policy projects. Allen's focus includes managing two major DEP projects, the upcoming 2018 Climate Action Plan and the Finding Pennsylvania's Solar Future project.

Allen's previous experience includes engineering consulting, city government, and facilites management. Allen has a Master's degree in Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University. He is also an engineer officer in the Pennsylvnia Army National Guard.
