The popularity of energy storage, specifically in residential applications, has grown considerably in recent years. Whether storing grid power for backup solutions or alternative energy sourced from solar, wind or hydro for daily off-grid use, proper system sizing, product selection & setup is very important. This session will cover basic usage considerations and provide examples of grid-tied & off-grid solutions. Proper installation and general charge requirements will be discussed as well as ongoing maintenance and monitoring steps which are key to the success of any battery-based system.

With a background in finance and IT, Jeff joined the management team at Surrette Battery Company Limited in 2009 as Marketing Manager. In his primary role, Jeff oversees brand development, advertising and provides distributor support for the full range of Rolls Battery deep cycle flooded, AGM & GEL products and offers training and technical assistance to battery dealers, system installers and end-users related to battery selection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty. In addition to assisting in various advisory committees within the industry, Jeff is a member of the conference organizing committees for the world's largest power generation event, POWER-GEN International, as well as the annual NABCEP Continuing Education Conference.
