Want to see some examples of the good, the bad, and the ugly? This presentation will make you make you groan, gasp, and, at the same time, have some "a-ha" moments. Gain insight on how to do it right, save valuable installation time and reduce labor costs, and avoid unnecessary call-backs and red-tags from your AHJ. A fun-filled presentation on residential, commercial, and utility-scale PV systems, that will leave you with some tips and tricks to bring back to your crew!

This session will earn attendees one (1) NABCEP Continuing Education Credit

Karo Fernández is from Costa Rica and has always been passionate about renewable energies. Her career in photovoltaic energy began in 2009, after graduating as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Costa Rica. After leading the installation of what was then the largest PV system in Costa Rica, she worked for the private sector on PV market development at a regional level, and on design, installation and inspection of PV systems. She has worked as a consultant since 2011, and since 2013 she´s dedicated a big part of her work to the non-profit sector through Solar Energy International (SEI), while keeping her company running as specialized third-party PV inspection, commissioning and performance verification for the Latam PV industry. For SEI, Karo works as an instructor in the English and Spanish programs, as well as developing curriculum and translations specifically for SEI's Spanish Program.
