Powering One Million New York Homes with Solar

Thursday, September 27
10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Location: Industry Trends: Booth 189

Your job and projects are probably in states with policies that enable a solar market. But are those policies sufficient for solar to survive - and grow - under the Trump Administration's attacks? Despite New York's ambitious clean energy goals, federal policies and state inaction have caused massive uncertainty and disrupted market development.

Vote Solar, SEIA, and other solar advocates recently launched a roadmap that lays out key policy changes to keep New York's distributed solar industry thriving. The Million Solar Homes Roadmap outlines what changes are needed to power one million households with solar by 2023 - an ambitious and achievable target. This session will walk through those state policy barriers and opportunities that are critical to reaching this goal and will call on you - the solar industry - to get involved.
