Bernd Wunder

Bernd Wunder has received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2010. From 2010 until 2013 he was employed as scientific assistant at the Chair for Electronic Components and developed several power electronic systems for EVs. In 2013 he founded the group for DC microgrids at the Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology (IISB) to design new destructive infrastructure for regenerative and sustainable energy usage. As well-known DC entrepreneur he was honoured to support the IEEE ICDCM2015 and organized the IEEE ICDCM 2017 conference in Nürnberg as leader of the technical program. He is also active in IEC where he represents Germany as national delegate in the IEC SyC LVDC committee. In 2017 his team founded the start-up CEUS to realize their ideas and new technologies and makes it available to everyone.

Dan Nordloh

Dan Nordloh is executive vice president for EnSync Energy Systems. He is responsible for the evolution and execution of EnSync Energy’s global growth strategy, and leads initiatives to enter emerging markets and identify and align with prospective strategic partners. He joined EnSync Energy in June of 2010 as vice president of sales and marketing before being appointed to executive vice president. Prior to joining EnSync, Mr. Nordloh held comprehensive leadership roles—primarily in IT and polymer technologies businesses—developing and executing rapid growth, turn-around and succession initiatives. He has led domestic and international growth of publicly and privately held companies via organic, M&A and partner strategies, and has coached early-stage companies in business planning and fundraising.

Tim Zgonena

Timothy Zgonena - Principal Engineer for Distributed Energy Resources Equipment and Systems. Has worked for UL LLC since 1990. His responsibilities include the development, maintenance and application of UL's certification requirements and delivery of UL conformity assessment services for: Utility grid interconnection systems equipment, inverters and converters, PV BOS equipment, PV rapid shutdown, PV hazard control, engine generators, wind turbines and wind turbine system components. Tim serves on several Distributed Generation IEEE, IEC and AWEA Technical Committees and he is a member of NFPA 70, NEC Code Making Panel 4. 2012 IEC 1906 Award Recipient.
