Kurt Lyell is a mechanical engineer and licensed electrical engineer with over 20 years of engineering experience, including 10 years of experience in utility scale solar PV project consulting.
Mr. Lyell caters specifically to the needs of clients in the feasibility stage of solar PV project development, supported the planning, permitting, procurement, and development of hundreds of megawatts of solar PV and concentrating solar power projects for commercial, municipal, utility, and national government clients worldwide. More than 40 of these projects are currently in operation, including 50 MW in Jordan, 10 MW in UAE, more than 400 MW in Canada, and more than 500 MW in USA. He was chosen as one of 200 innovation champions at CH2M and recognized as a “Relentless Innovator” in Resilient Cities and Meaningful Metrics Catalyst competitions. Mr. Lyell has authored papers and poster presentations for PVSEC, IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference, World Renewable Energy Forum, EUCI, and The Military Engineer. Mr. Lyell graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BSME and is pursuing an MBA from the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business.
