Community solar has successfully demonstrated that it can expand access to solar for American homeowners, renters, and businesses. This session will provide an update on Vote Solar and the Coalition for Community Solar’s (CCSA) work to complete a cutting-edge Community Solar Vision Study to identify ways to scale the market segment over the next ten years.

Jeff Cramer

Coalition for Community Solar Access

Jeff is the Executive Director of the Coalition for Community Solar Access (CCSA), a national trade organization that works to expand access to clean, local affordable energy nationwide through community solar. Jeff co-founded and served as partner at 38 North Solutions for over 5 years — a public affairs firm that focuses exclusively on clean energy policies at the state and federal levels. Jeff served a diversity of clients in the solar, storage, industrial recycling, vehicle electrification, methane waste prevention, and wind sectors. Prior to 38 North, Jeff served as an Advocate at the public affairs firm Quinn Gillespie in Washington DC and previously an energy and technology industry analyst at a Pacific Crest Securities, a sell-side investment bank in Portland, OR.

Marta Tomic

Program Director, Community Solar
Vote Solar

Marta serves as Vote Solar’s Community Solar Program Director. In this role, Marta works to create and scale community solar programs across the country through advocacy, regulatory, and policy initiatives. Marta has spent the last 9 years of her career in solar. She served as Deputy Director of Policy and Electricity Markets for SolarCity before joining Vote Solar in early 2017. Previously, she served as the Maryland Energy Administration’s Solar Program Manager. She also attributes her deep technical expertise from her early years in the industry working in sales, project development, and finance.

Marta attended the University of Virginia for undergrad and holds a Master of Science in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University.
