Terry Grant is Managing Partner and head of the solar market practice for Marathon Capital. He is based in San Francisco and focuses on the power, alternative energy and energy technology sectors.

Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Mr. Grant was a Managing Director with FBR Capital Markets focused on alternative energy and power portfolio restructurings in the Energy Group. Mr. Grant originally joined FBR in 1997 and founded the equity research practice in energy, covering the IPP and non-utility generation sub-sectors. From 2000-2005, Mr. Grant was involved in energy technology investment ventures both investing, and offering financial advisory services for energy technology and power asset companies. He founded and served as Portfolio Manager in a hedge fund focused on the energy sector.

Prior to FBR, Mr. Grant held a variety of positions at US Generating Company – a PG&E and Bechtel partnership in the energy sector. He was involved in project financings totaling over $2 billion, corporate M&A work, and was responsible for project development for the South Western Region of the United States.

Mr. Grant received his BA from Wake Forest University and his MBA from the Babcock Graduate School of Business at Wake Forest University.

Yuri Horwitz, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sol Systems, oversees strategic growth and performance as well as investment strategy and services for the company. His disciplined focus on developing intrinsic value within a portfolio of complementary business lines has led to steady strong growth for the company since its inception in 2008. The company has grown revenues over 800% in the last four years from its trading, fund and asset management, and development businesses.

Mr. Horwitz continues to focus with the team on the expansion of the firm’s institutional investor clients, with a sound approach to financing and owning solar energy infrastructure. Under his leadership, the firm has developed and/or delivered 650MW of solar projects across 13 states. The firm now asset manages over $650 million in solar energy assets.

Sol Systems was listed among Inc. 5000’s fastest growing private companies for a fourth consecutive year in 2016. Mr. Horwitz is an elected member on the Board of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). He was a 2014 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and named one of Washington Business Journal‘s 40 Under 40 in 2011.

Prior to Sol Systems, Mr. Horwitz was an attorney at Alston & Bird, assisting clients with the development and financing of wind and solar facilities throughout the United States. He has also provided pro-bono assistance to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Southern Environmental Law Center, and the Surfrider Foundation.

Mr. Horwitz holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia and a dual B.A. from the College of William and Mary.

Kristina Peterson

Senior Vice President, Solar Operations
Terraform Power

Ms. Peterson is an energy and infrastructure executive in the conventional and solar power generation industries in which she has served as an investor, banker and director. Ms. Peterson is currently Senior Vice President, Solar Operations at Terraform Power, heading up solar operations of 515 operating solar projects in 4 countries and 23 U.S. states. She has acted as CFO and CEO of privately held and public companies across the clean technology sector and as an investment banker at Citibank and ABN AMRO Bank internationally. At Brookfield, she lead the solar M&A due diligence efforts to acquire 51% of Terraform Power and act as its Sponsor, and acquire 100% of Terraform Global with a total portfolio of ~1.4GW solar operating assets (~$3bln total enterprise value). Since 2007, she has held executive management and finance positions with solar investment and manufacturing companies – Brookfield Renewable Partners, EDF Renewable Energy and Suntech - where she was responsible for development of 420 megawatts+ of solar PV projects and P&L responsibility for $1.1bln worth of projects and assets. Ms. Peterson also served as CEO of utility-scale solar construction company, Greenwood Biosar, and various other project development companies. Prior to her involvement in the solar industry, she was Vice President, Structured Finance at several divisions of ABN AMRO Bank in the U.S. and Middle East, and at Citicorp/Citibank in the Financial Institutions Group. In her banking career, she financed over $5bln worth of structured finance deals in power generation, telecom and equipment sales transactions around the world. A native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, she graduated with an MBA from the University of Chicago and also holds a Bachelor degree of Business Administration from Boston University. She also completed graduate coursework at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Under his leadership, KBCM has built a national utility, power and renewable energy practice, committed over $5.0 billion of KBCM's balance sheet to utility and renewable energy clients, successfully advised numerous utility and renewable energy companies in private capital raises, acquisitions and divestiture assignments and structured and financed over 3.0 GW of renewable energy projects.

Mr. Redinger received a B.S. degree in Economics from Purdue University and holds an MBA in Finance from Loyola University.
